Itinerary description
Hike date: 27/09/2014
This is a nice hike with a few steep bits but generally quite easy. The path, as is almost always the case in France, is well formed and not difficult to walk on.
The views are quite lovely, especially across over Lac de Trecolpas from Pas de Ladres and from the Col de Fenestre.
At the col, you'll find a large, old bunker (not the one in my photos) that is a haven for ibex. They are often found licking salt from the concrete walls. As such, you'll be likely to spot some ibex around there. That's basically the reason I decided to do this hike - to see some of them up close. Luckily I wasn't disappointed and I spotted the cute young ibex you can see in the photos!
