Itinerary description
A nice circular route, with a nasty climb! The track starts at hotel "La Barranca" and in the first 45 minutes, till Fuente de la Campanilla, you can warm your muscles for the then following climb of about 2 km to Collado del Piornal, which will take - depending on your physical condition - around 1 hour. The rest of the route is relatively easy and the view from La Maliciosa is - as always - spectacular.
Eventhough almost in June, the temperatures above 2000 m were low. But once back in the valley of La Barranca it was warm again, so at the foot of the Peña Cabrita we took a nice lunch-break and some sun!
This route doesn´t go to the top of the Bola del Mundo but rounds it at the south flank, just below the top. Not because I was tired, but simply becuase I didn´t know that trail yet..

Estimado Koolloos, he seguido esta ruta casi 9 años después de que la hayas realizado y subido a wikiloc.
Me encanta descubrir nuevos senderos por la Sierra de Madrid, y esta vez he podido hacerlo gracias a tu aportación.
Quiero por ello darte las gracias y decirte que la hemos disfrutado 100%, ascendiendo las 2 cumbres, superando más de 1.000 metros de desnivel, avistando cabras montesas,...

Pues yo la acabo de hacer, y decirte, que porque es verano, si no, me hubiera encantado más aún, genial Descripción de la ruta, y Perfecta para entretiempo. Las subidas son un tormento, y las bajadas dos tormentos. Por eso te doy mil gracias por enseñarnos esta ruta. Saludos.

Buenísima ruta! Estupendas vistas camino al pico de la Maliciosa y después bordeando la pista de esquí con todo nevado ❄️
El principio de la ruta se hace duro al tener tanto desnivel, pero merece la pena sin duda! 😄
