Itinerary description
It’s a linear trail which actually consists of different parts of various trails in National park, on the way back we decided to take a parallel trail to bring up some difference to the scenery.
We chose the starting point which was the closest to the place where we parked our car (all the parkings are quite away from the various entrances to the park).
The park entrance fee is 8 pln per person, one can buy a week entrance ticket.
Views are great and the trail is sometimes demanding.
Be prepared to herds of people along the way, not that this particular trail is popular but there are plenty on trails in general.
NB: At some point in the beginning we started to follow another trail, so ignore the short appendix to the side.
TERRAIN: all the way to the lake is ascent with some short descending parts. Be prepared to walk 80% of the trail on medium sized stones which are laid to maintain the trail in shape (I suppose). On the way back the last part of the trail went along the valley and it was nice very mild descent (it can be actually used as ascending part as well). Hiking boots are highly advisable and poles may be of help.
SEASON: in winter on these levels there may be snow, in spring there might be seasonal rivers and streams with wet crossing. In summer there are some sun exposed parts but at least 50% is in shade, depending on the time of the day.
SIGNS: the trail is color marked plus there are direction signs with time estimation at the intersections. Anyway you go with the flow :) there are some organized resting places but you can use natural ones.
KIDS: at least half of the trail I witnessed kids of various ages, the higher we got, the lesser kids were met but still some as little as 6-7 yo were seen at the top. But you should definitely asses your kid stamina.
