Itinerary description
Hike up the mountainside from Krujë to Sari Saltik shrine
It's a very steep climb, without much shade
The path is steep and stoney
Great views from the top across to Tirana, Durres, Montenegro, the sea and possibly Italy
Take plenty of water and some snacks. There is water available at Sari Saltik
You may be accosted by the friendly Sari Saltik guardian who can rustle up a Turkish coffee for you
The guardian advised walking back down to Kruje on the road. That is probably because the track back down is very steep and somewhat dangerous
I was lucky and got a lift down in a car 😄
It's probably nearly two hours to walk back to Kruje on the road
There are at least three tekkes, or tombs, in Kruge town, this walk goes to two of them. The third one, Dollma Tekke, is nearby to Kruje castle
