Itinerary description
Note this is not a circular walk. It is effectively two there and back walks.
You can experience the falls in two different ways: 1) from beneath the falls, and 2) from the opposite river bank. The first enables you to get right into the falls through a small wet tunnel, whilst the second gives you a good dry overview.
After leaving the marked falls car park follow the signs down a road to the falls. After a short while you will reach a Y in the road.
If you take the right hand fork it will lead you to option 1) above. Follow the signs to waterfalls. After passing a small falls on your right, you will see a path off on your left to the main falls. This is a well laid out descending path through the woods, including several steep steps. Eventually you will reach a small cave at the end of the path. At the far end of the cave there is a small low tunnel about 2m in length. The far end of the tunnel comes out onto a shelf at the bottom of the falls.
A warning here. This part is very slippery and you will get soaked. For a good guide to what to expect see this uTube clip I found.

If you decide not to go through the tunnel (as I did!!) you will not be able to see the falls, just hear them.
To get a good view of the falls return to the Y junction mentioned earlier. Instead of taking the right fork, take the left fork and continue down the track until you come to a small path on the right hand side where the metal road becomes gravel. Follow the path down towards the river and you will come to some benches where you get a good view of the falls. If you look carefully you will see the tunnel exit at the base of the falls.
From here retrace your steps back to the car park.
