Itinerary description
The hiking trail starts at Krannebitten 700masl, so you can reach that point by bus, train or car, if you go with the car, you can park free just a few meters next to the bus stop.
The first part of the hiking is quite challenging, requires you to put your hands on, and please wear a pair of good mountain boots. There is also some climbing in between.
Then, you have to hike quite steep some 30 minutes, afterwards you will turn left, take care of ibex that are around. But it is very nice to see them around (see pictures attached). A little later you can find some waterfall and some parts of the path where you have to "boulder", there is a rope, so no worries.
If you reach the Magdeburger, you can find a good place for resting, eating, and there is a good atmosphere up there. It is already at 1633 masl.
The way back is really a car road, so would a long path, but it could help you to reach the train afterwards. Keep an eye on Google maps if you wanna end at the train station directly, because there are two paths, if you take the one at the left side of the canal, it will take you more time.
The train stop is at Hochzirl, where you can have nice views, and going back to the train just takes a few minutes to Kranebitter or Innsbruck.
