Itinerary description

Yes it is a circular excursion, which starts from Kranjska Gora. Cross the river and enter the hay fields, surrounding the forest and the small hill. A short time later we reach the pretty village of Podkoren. Then cross the road to reach Lake Zelenci. The pools are considered as the source of the Sava River and the temperature of the water 5-6 degrees all year round. The whole area around the lake is a nature reserve, with an observation tower. The position of the pools is spectacular, in the context of the mountains, and at sun time they acquire an indescribable color.
The return to Kranjska Gora was done by the signposted bike path because it was at night.

Easy
Its a nice easy trail with a wonderfull and ice cold little lake as target.
Some nice outlooks to the nearby mountains but some km on asphalt roads.
We took the same way back to Kransjka Gora, because of the different loockouts to the mountains and we didnt want to use the trail for bikes on he way back. Anyways we needed a little challenge so we walked the hill up again ;)
