Itinerary description
Kpatawee Waterfall is an amazing attraction and definitely worth visiting. The drive from Monrovia is easy on the tarmac roads all the way to Gbarnga. Some parts are still under renovation.
The drive to the starting point is surprisingly easy even during rainy season. The roads are solid and dry.
At the starting point there were a small shop with soft drinks. The staff will watch over your cars after agreement. They were very friendly.
The rest of the walk is along the access road to the waterfall and the old eco tourism site close to the fall. In the dry season it is possible to drive all the way, however we recommend you walk. At the waterfall the local villagers put up a temporary gate and asks for money. You should be able to reach an agreement at maximum 1 dollar per person, depending on the size of your group.
