Stylos Manastırı kalıntıları / Ruins of Stylos Monastery
The monastery is located on the ancient stone-paved road stretching from Herakleia by Latmos to Alinda. It was founded by the St. Paul of Latrus/St.Paul of Latra (sometimes listed as St. Paul the Younger). Born in Elaea/Elaia/Aeolis, the port city of Pergamon, Paul was buried in a chapel inside the monastery after his death in 955. Inside the monastery, which was discovered by Theodor Wiegand in the 19th century, there are frescoes in a cave (the Cave of Saint Paul) under one of the big rocks on the hill. The name of the monastery, Stylos, means column/pillar in Greek. The monastery was probably named in honour of the apostle Paul, the "pillar" of the church. The name of the monastery, known to the locals, is the Arabian Courtyard (Arap Avlusu), and it was probably named after the monks who migrated from the Sinai Peninsula after the 7th century.

Bizans dönemi duvar resimleri / Wall paintings from the Byzantine period
The frescoes show the Virgin Mary and five scenes from the life of Jesus in a circle-shaped space. Mary's being taken to the temple, being fed by an angel and Gabriel's announcement to the Virgin Mary that she will give birth to Jesus, the birth of Jesus, his depiction in the temple and the baptism of Jesus are told. The St. Paul the Younger is depicted kneeling on a rock and holding an inscription containing the monastic rules in his hands. The paintings inside the Saint Paul cave added to the complex in later periods. These paintings are also important wall paintings for the Byzantium history of art. According to the investigations, the paintings can be dated at the end of the 12th century and the beginnings of the 13th century. It is also stated that the aim of these paintings was the commemoration of the Saint Paul, the founder of the monastery complex.

Zeus Akraios Tapınağı / The Temple of Zeus Akraios
Bağarcık’ın batısında yer alan, dağ savunma yapısının (Bağarcık Kalesi) kuzeyine düşen vadide (Dikilitaş Vadisi) bulunan çam ağaçlarıyla kaplı bir tepecik üzerinde, dağ sırtındaki yerleşmeye ait küçük bir tapınak olan Zeus Akraios/Askraios (Dağ zirvesindeki Zeus/Zirvedeki Zeus)Tapınağı, Dr. Anneliese Peschlow tarafından bulunmuştur. Hemen hemen kare planlı denebilecek bu tapınağın girişinde, ikisi de hala ayakta duran monolit ante direklerinden birinin üzerine dairesel bir kalkan kabartması, diğerininkine de Frigya tipindeki miğfer (Frig başlığı) kabartması yapılmıştır. Arşitravlarda tespit edilen yazıtlardan tapınağın Zeus Akraios’a, yani dağ zirvesindeki Zeus’a adandığı anlaşılmaktadır. / The Temple of Zeus Akraios/Askraios (Zeus on the Mountain/Zeus on the Peak), a small temple belonging to the settlement on the mountain ridge, on a hill covered with pine trees in the valley (Dikilitaş Valley) that falls to the north of the mountain defence structure (Bağarcık Castle) to the west of Bağarcık , was discovered by Dr. Anneliese Peschlow. At the entrance of this temple which has an almost square plan, a circular shield relief was engraved on one of the monolith ante pillars, and a Phrygian type helmet (Phrygian cap) relief was engraved on the other, both of which are still standing. From the inscriptions found in the architraves, it is understood that the temple was dedicated to Zeus Akraios, that is, to Zeus on the mountain peak. By the mountain peak, it is meant Tekerlek Hill, the peak point of the Latmos Mountains, where the Anatolian God of Rain and Weather was worshiped, which is within the sight of the temple. Over time, the cult of the Anatolian weather god was superseded by that of Zeus by the Greeks. This small temple, on the back of the mountain dedicated to, provides the archaeological evidence for this. An ancient paved road made of large stone slabs connects the temple to the Carian city of Herakleia by Latmos on the shore of Lake Bafa, about 17 km away to the west.
