Itinerary description
A good leisurely hike to get a view of the bay of Kotor and surrounding villages and mountains. Great views and would've been perfect if there was a little sun but it was still beautiful.
There's good trails throughout. The way down is very steep so doing it in reverse would be a good workout. The zigzaging on the way up got old very quickly but at least made the ascent easy.
I really liked the bunker. There's some metal hooks you can use to get to the window to enter (unsure if there are easier places to enter). It was quite eery with the dark hallways, stench and the bats screeching in dark rooms. Quite cool! Recommend going in.

The Fortress Vrmac definitely need to see - but watch your steps guys, some nasty holes was not coverd at all so having a flashlights will be really handy. The hike itself was not the most impressive hike around Kotor Bay. The first part from Kotor Old Town to Sveti Ilja is ok and marked well, but afterwards the trail signs start to disappear and the last part is no fun at all. Really steep on loose stones and partially completely covered with raspberry bushes. If I was aware of it I will probably turn around back to Kotor or just decide to continue to Tivat, and go back to Kotor by bus. I didn’t finish the whole round, got tired of looking for signs and fighting my way through, by the first chance (around 16 km hike) I decided to take an shortcut to Prcanj and took bus back to Kotor.
I agree that it isn't the most exciting hike. I'm suprised you struggled with the trail. But then, it has been a couple of years and no one ventured too much there. My main objective here was to see the bunker and then I improvised the rest. I still enjoyed it!
