Quchan (Persian: قوچان Qučān pronounced [quˈtʃɑːn, ɢoˈtʃɒːn]; also romanized as Qūchān and Quçan; also known as Khabushan, Gochan)[3] is a city in the Central District of Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4] It is approximately 97km south of the border city of Ashgabat, capital city of neighboring Turkmenistan.
