Itinerary description
Korudli lakes and Mestia cross are probably the most popular and easiest hikes starting from the village of Mestia. Both places can even be reached by car. These hikes offer some beautiful sceneries on the mountains, including Latsa and the famous twin pics of Ushba.
After the lakes , we decided to continue up to a panoramic view on the valley. This path is a bit exposed for beginners who are scared of heights, but not dangerous.
On the way back, just after the cross, the starting point of the path looks not easy to find. I think the main path starts few steps back. We took a small path that was obviously not the right one. Without being dangerous, it was steep and slippery. Fortunately we spotted a kind of path on the right which led to the main one, because I don't know where the one we took goes....
