Itinerary description

*edited, 120221*
(Apparently, the name "Genting Rompin", is the actual, official name. Thanks, Mr J!)

Genting Rompin Hill, an unofficial name, given to the adjacent hill, to Kor Hill. We (HPA/Hiking Passion Adventure), freshly opened the trail, from Kor Hill. A very tiring work, but super rewarding, when we managed to cut through thick bushes, thorns and bamboos.
We will be looking into making this, a Trans Trail, once we've identified, the best exit point for it.

Best place to park, outside of Theravada Buddhist Temple/fishing ponds.

DON'T START HERE!

On the right of this small river, there's a cement/metal beam, crossing it. Start/return from there instead. That way, you don't waste time in taking your shoes off, or go with wet feet.

START/END HERE!

To get to this metal/cement beam, go back out a bit, and you'll notice a small pond, with a small durian orchard. Start your hike from there.

An unofficial name, given to this new hill that we've cleared, however, we WILL make it official, on our next visit, with its own signboard.

It was dry when we're there, but looking at how it looks, it'll flow, especially when it rains

the trail is with markers now?

It is, now, or, since we last left it🤣
Yellow/black ribbons, that's us. Red/white, was the old markers, however, only to Kor Hill. You'll find that from trailhead towards Kor Hill, there's combinations of these colored ribbons.
From Kor's summit, towards Genting Rompin's summit (unofficial name), you'll find only the yellow/black ribbons. To be safe, ALWAYS double-check your movements, with the trail map created.

Another thing, from trailhead, towards Kor's summit, be very careful and always double-check with your map. It's quite a popular hill, with the locals, and those in-the-know. Thus, a lot of snaking path, which will break into a different trail, altogether.
From Kor's summit, towards Genting Rompin's summit, there's only one way, OUR way, which we've created.

Genting Rompin hill is an official name of that peak (mention in a map).... Gunung Kor is not...

Thanks for the correction. Will rectify my mapping, immediately. Stay safe, and a Happy New Year!

I have followed this trail  verified  View more

Trail is rather new and most part of the trail is slated. Need to follow blue paint marking and marking tape.

I’ve followed this trail and attempted it yesterday…. Take note to follow jus the blue paint marking on the trees and you would not get lost…. Trail from gunung kor to bukit genting rompin is so thick and need parang….Also the starting part the forestry has put few Dilarang Masuk yellow signboard and also they did chopped off huge tree to block the way from hikers to enter but we manage to climb on top of it and enter…. Its an illegal place now so enter at ur own risk! ⚠️
