Itinerary description
Waypoints
Ključ 01
Because of the construction site of the ski resort, (free) parking seems to be complicated. But there where some "parking bays" along the road.
Ključ 02
To start with the hike - just go down the road to the waypoint 2 an turn left on the gravel path. Go over the small stream and after 230 m, turn right and follow the gravel path.
Ključ 04
Here you are reaching the Katun Rupe. There are 2 ways to get to the waypoint 5. The marked path leads over meadows and along the hillside, where sometimes small trails are visible. The second path leads over the gravel path thru the valley.
Ključ 05
Here you have reached the the first top for a great overview to the valley and the Katun Rupe. On the second picture, at the left side: You can go along the trail to a small chapel. This will take (estimated) 1 hour extra.
Ključ 06
Here we went straight over the meadows to the Mountain Ključ. As you can see it in the graph and in the picture, it is steep.
Ključ 07
The top of Ključ. Very windy and a bit cloudy on this day. There is a small container to leave an entry. At the second picture, you can see the path to waypoint 8 (small hut and ropeway).
Ključ 09
Between Waypoint 8 and 9, follow the gravel path. In front of the first hard left turn - keep straight on to cut short. It is not necessary to follow the marked path over the meadows. But anyway, to get to Krivi Do, there is apparently no visible path, so you have to go across country (querfeldein in german words).
Ključ 11
Between Waypoint 11 and 12, there is the Katun Vanjak and several ropeways. After the first Katun (Picture 1), go across country on the right side as marked. There is no path, but it seems that the way does not cross private estate (several dogs on the left side, but tied at their kennel). Then, you will see the Katun Vanjak. If you pass thru the Katun, follow the path down to the hill to the next settlement. The marked path leads down across the hill (to cut short the gravel path). If you are following the track as marked, it will lead you back to the Ski-Center at Waypoint 12.
