Itinerary description

A short but very beautiful and special walk along the coast of West Flanders. This dune area is one of the few growing places of the blue sea thistle, and a relatively large number of birds can be found here because of its unique location. This circular walk takes the walker through the dunes and along the water, with beautiful views over the sea.

Parking is available at the starting point, which is easily accessible by car and public transport. This walk starts at the Hoge Blekker in Koksijde-Dorp and goes through the nature reserve "De Doornpanne" to the Schipgatduinen, a wide dune belt near the beach. Then you return along the beautiful residential areas to the starting point.
