Itinerary description
This is nature trail Koinia - Prophitis Elias. It connects Prophet Elias monastery and picnic site with Kionia picnic site. Very nice views towards Nicosia and to the south.
I started on Prophet Elias side which makes this a bit easier. Somehow I managed to take wrong path and I ended up at starting point of another trail and I had to take main road to reach my destination. Also it started to rain which is unusual for this time of the year, probably specific to the area.
The path is gravel footpaths with very small dirt road sections. Only about one third of the trail has shade (or cover from rain).
There are plenty of maps and direction signs along the trail. There also are a few benches and signs for plant species, locales and interesting objects.
