Kocevje - path 3/6 - path 3 - Livoldski vrh peak (994 m) - path 1/2 - Fridrihstajn (970 m) - path 3 - path 2 - path 6 - Koča pri Jelenovem studencu - path 3/4 - Kocevje
Medium difficulty route through the Kocevsko virgin forest, in the Stojna mountains. From the large roundabout in the center of Kocevje, head southwest onto Podgorska Ulica. The large car park on the left, close to the wooded belt, marks the main starting point for excursions in the area. From here, continue towards the last houses, taking path 3 which climbs rapidly through the vegetation, intersecting the service road on a couple of occasions. When you reach an important crossroads, keep left towards Livoldski vrh. Once the road is intercepted, path 3 deviates to the left, taking you under a dark ridge. With a couple of zig zags and some easy passages (facilitated by the cable) you reach the small peak (peak book) covered with dense vegetation. Continue in the opposite direction on a little beaten path that descends from the rocky strip and reconnects to the road left previously. The itinerary traveled so far is marked with the symbol of the Castle and the abbreviation TP (Trapistovska Pot). Go back to the detour left previously, except to slip left again through the trees and thus reach Fridrihstajn, at the top of which there are the ruins of the homonymous castle dating back to the 15th century. From here the route would continue towards Pozgani Hrib, the third elevation, but we opt for a shorter solution. Going down through a maze of paths, take the stretch of road heading north and then turn left onto path 2 directed to Mestni vrh (1034 m). In short, turn left onto path 6, opting for the direct route to the beautiful meadow clearing where the Jelenovem studencu refuge stands. From the structure we start again going up the service road slightly and close the ring quickly returning to the starting point (path 3/4).
