Itinerary description
From Nicosia, this is the closest trail along a small stream and into the forest - only 25 minutes' drive from the city. Notable geosite for anyone who appreciates geology, impressive for everyone. An easy morning or afternoon stroll. Two picnic tables at the trail beginning, and two midway. Not very shady, so not recommended for high summer. Fantastic the rest of the year.

Scenery
Easy
A few meters uphill in the beginning with beautiful sceneries and a small stream of water. After that the trail it’s not too pleasant as it goes through a no-shade wide off-road (we encountered two trucks) pretty close to the main road. Second half of the trail was more enjoyable, almost always under the shade of big Calabrian Pine trees. I would recommend it on a day that temperature doesn’t go above 20 degrees, especially if you walk it with your pet.
