Itinerary description

Having moved far enough away from the mountain lately we went back again. In our favorite places, in our favorite habits. In the fresh air and in spring landscapes. In places where you feel "full". That your thought can travel. To think correctly and to renew the forces. Going back to the world with goals and vision.

Although we had time to feel these, our mountain again gave us the opportunity to feel these feelings again. But teaching us that the slower you return the more difficult it will be to adapt to his own data. On the steep uphills, but also on the downhills that also want their attention. But every effort you make will reward you.
If not always. The next time you do not delay you will definitely have it easier!

So today our excursion may not have made much difference in altitude, but the obstacles in front of us were stubborn and we overcame them.
What steep uphills!
What the bushy slopes!
It was something that each time brought us closer to our goal.

We started in the morning, and around 8 we were in the picturesque village of Ano Deropoli, Kleisari. Although the time was right to find the few elderly residents asleep, we felt we "woke them up". A commotion broke out throughout the village. One was shouting from here * mahala, and one from there *. We asked for information about the path we had planned to follow, but it was difficult to locate it ourselves. Although at first we had a hard time understanding each other and we were late, in the end due to the good mood of the residents to help us we found the solution to our "problem".

But time has worn out the path and it has been covered by vegetation. We fought with our hands and feet to find a dead end. As time went on, the altitude grew and from the zone of the bushes we passed to that of the forest and then to the other with the alpine meadows.
In the spring he now visited these places with us. The wild cherries and flowers were in bloom and the only voices heard were the few birdsong.
It is too early to find in the tall herds "armed" with their bells and the dogs to break the silence that prevailed.

We were heading north. After a small plateau we climbed to a small peak, in the sun of Kra. The view is indescribable. The village was at our feet, on the right the plain of Deropolis and on the left the plain of Vourkos and up to Corfu we had the opportunity to rest our eyes.
There was also the highest point of our route. We sat for a very short time and started going up and down to the eagle's nest of our place. Which is none other than Droviani. The shade of the trees and an unexpected light breeze were the ideal thing in the midday heat to keep us cool.
And from Agia Paraskevi which is located at the crossroads Kra-Lesinitsa-Droviani, we followed the dirt road (difficult to do by car) to Droviani. Our meetings were just a few herds. Before reaching the village, we first saw the chapel of Agios Minas and an old aqueduct. As we walked through the streets of the village the loneliness was very intense. Houses old, but also new, looked empty since in their courtyards the human presence was not visible.
Maybe it had to do with time.
But the sights and the houses are a unique beauty that is well intertwined with the natural beauty of the area. Characteristic of the village are the many and large churches.
We lied * next to the gurgling waters of a torrent which crosses the plain of Krongi village and joins the waters of the Blue eye, "Blue eye".

And in closing, we want to emphasize, nothing can weaken as much as moving away from something you truly love. Going back is something that refreshes you and then all the good things start again. There will always be difficulties, in every climb, but the beautiful moments will be the ones that will always pull you back.
