I did this trail in reverse...starting from Wengen. It is a wide gravel road for much of the way and about 2300ft of climbing. When you leave the Wengen gondola station you can just walk behind the station and take a small gravel path straight and then the first right. After a few minutes you come to signs showing the direction to Kleine Scheidegg and it is well marked from there. The views are amazing once you get above Wengen.
