Itinerary description
Trail by the river Voidomatis starting from the bridge at Kleidonia
and ending at the bridge of Aristi aka Voidomatis bridge.
Note:
The proper path (the one that doesn't entail river crossing) starts at the Parking lot on the Kleidonia side of the bridge and is partly paved.
The path recorded starts at the oposite side so the river had to be crossed once.
Τhere are a lot of places where you can swim or sit by the river banks.
Voidomatis is one of the cleanest rivers you will ever encounter. Even so I always advise against drinking water from an untested source.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS THE RIVER WITH SMALL CHILDREN NO MATTER HOW CALM THE RIVER MAY SEEM - DO NOT CROSS IF THE WATER LEVEL EXCEEDS YOUR KNEES
VOIDOMATIS IS EXTREMELY COLD EVEN IN THE SUMMER

A GREAT IDEA IS TO COMBINE THIS TRAIL WITH RAFTING .
YOU CAN DO THE RIVER-TREK FROM KLEIDONIA TO ARISTI, CATCH A RAFT AND GO DOWNSTREAM BACK TO KLEIDONIA.
IT IS IDEAL FOR A DAY OUTDOORS.
