Itinerary description
Hiking to Transnistria coming from Moldova is always special, you need more time, because the border control takes time, which is not easy to calculate.
As starting point we selected the Memorial Complex Kitskany Bridgehead. It is a wonderful viewing point. From there we walked down and made our first trek target the Nistru.
Escorted by hundreds of partly rare bird voices, it is a very protected walk along the Nistru River, with the destination of Mănăstirea Noul, the most important monastery at the teretory of Transnistria. Then it is only about 2 km slightly uphill towards the starting point.
Tip: it is nice to cross the Nistru River by ferry in the direction of Tiraspol if you carry this strange currency.
