Itinerary description

Khorgo Uul és un volcà extint al districte de Tariat a la província Arkhangai de Mongòlia. Està situat al vessant nord de les muntanyes de Khangai. El Khorgo es troba a l'est del llac Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur i junts són el nucli del Parc Nacional Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur. El cràter del volcà Khorgo està situat a una altitud de 2210 m, 200 m d'ample i 100 m de fondària.
És una fàcil caminada d’un 8 Km i 160 m de desnivell. Des del Campament Khorgo es pot anar en cotxe o a peu fins a la base del volcà i des d’allà pujar per un corriol, fàcil però força dret, fins a dalt i donar la volta al crater.

The Khorgo Uul is a volcano in the Tariat district in the Arkhangai Province of Mongolia. It lies east of the lake Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur and together they are the core of the Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park. Khorgo volcano crater is situated at an altitude of 2210 m, 200 m wide and 100 m deep.
It is an easy walk of 8 km and 160 meters of altitude. From the Khorgo Camp you can go by car or on foot to the base of the volcano and from there go up a path, easy but fairly straight up to the top and turn around the crater.
