Itinerary description
Lovely hike from Tadapani to Dobato, part of the Khopra Danda trek. It was not very crowded, compared to the previous sections. The path goes mostly through rhododendron and bamboo forests, with small patches of grass and a stretch of alpine meadow above Isharu (a bit exposed, but nothing scary). There are great view points on the way, and the weather changes every 5 minutes from thick fog to amazing blue sky and incredible panoramas. The path is very well marked, blue and white line, there is no risk to get lost. The exit of Tadapani village may be a bit confusing, but follow what looks like the main trail and look for the signs to confirm you are on the right way. From Tadapani, the path goes up and down until an abandoned house. Afterwards, the trail continues mainly upwards, on what looks like a water bed. The climb is quite steep, but there are plenty of view points where you can rest. There is not a lot of water on the way, we just encountered one spring close to Dobato, but drinking at Meshar and Isharu should be comfortable.
