Itinerary description

Khaptad is a great way to experience natural beauty. It is a popular trekking destination located in the far-western region of Nepal and is known for its scenic beauty.

Waypoints

Jhingrana

Jhingrana is the starting point for the Khaptad trek and it is located about 30 km far from the town of Dipayal. The journey from Dipayal to Jhingrana can be done by vehicle. From Jhingrana, the trek is about 16 km long and takes you through beautiful forests and landscapes to reach Khaptad National Park.

Bichpani

After a tough and steep climb of more than 3 hours from Jhingrana, we can reach Bichpani, which is approximately 6.5 kilometers away. It is a popular stop with a few tea houses where trekkers can rest, have some food.

Phonedada

From Bichpani to Khaptad, there is a place called PhonDanda on the trail where we can use our phone and make video calls as well easily using 4G Network. It is approximately 6.5 kilometers from PhoneDada to reach Khaptad.

Bukidaha

This is called Bukidaha and It is a tragic place where four Nepali soldiers died due to heavy snow in 1994 AD. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach Khaptad from here.
