Itinerary description
You need to go off the road onto paths in a couple of places, but they are not difficult. Quite steep ascents in places. Without climbing, but noticeable. There are sections of the road going up and down. Fortunately not to the bottom. In general, you can walk straight along the road almost to the top.
Where the climb looks scary, the road is carved into the rock in a zig-zag pattern, and you can climb it quite easily. And after that go to the top of the Nif along the almost flat mountain ridge.
It's easy to walk up there, but it's noticeably colder. The wind is strong, it drizzles from the clouds that sit on the top. Jackets, hats, and sweaters came in handy.
In one place in the middle of the trek, I foolishly suggested cutting a detour, going off the road, and going straight up the slope. I do not advise. This turned out to be the steepest and longest climb on the track. On the way back we went along the road. It takes longer, and of course, there are also climbs there, but they are much more humane.
Take care of your knees. The descents on the way back are also serious. Train your legs, stretch, and take trekking poles with you.
