Itinerary description
An entertaining hike, starting from the main Pedoulas - Kykkos road. Initially follows the short but very beautiful Kattouthkia nature trail down to Mylikouri Village. After Mylikouri, it follows the forest road down to Platy Valley junction. Up left towards the Komititzi picknick area, and then up until the Xystarouda picknick area. Joins the main road and goes left until it reaches the start of the Kattouthkia trail.
The hike passes through incredible forests and various streams. The Platy Valley in particular, is arguably one of the most beautiful areas in Cyprus. I would call it the Cyprus Amazon Valley. A place full of history and natural beauty!

Interesting trail minus the last 2-3 km which is on public road. Beautiful at times but hardly an Amazon. First quarter is, at times, steep with loose gravel. A pair of good traction shoes is required and a walking stick is advisable for the elderly.
