Itinerary description
One or two steady climbs, but the views are well worth it. Stop at the tiny church of Agia Paraskevi, and also the herb garden and coffee shop in Pano Akourdaleia.
Approximate timings:
00:00 Set off from car.
00:01 Turn right at sign for St Paraskevi church. Follow well defined concrete track
00:13 Reach viewpoint with wooden pagoda
00:21 Reach St Paraskevi church. Backtrack 100m then head up the hill on the original track.
00:40 Reach level ground at top
00:50 Reach T-junction in Pano Akourdaleia with post boxes on left. Turn left here.
00:55 Arrive at the Herb Garden and coffee shop
00:00 Leave Herb Garden. Backtrack 50m and turn left at side of houses. Follow this road round to the left.
00:12 Take left fork into open scrubland. Follow the well defined track.
00:25 Reach T-junction. Turn right onto concrete track.
00:29 Reach T-junction with tarmac road. Turn left and walk along back to Kato Akourdaleia.
00:37 Pass cemetery on left.
00:42 Arrive back at car.

Completed this hike on 17 Jan 2015. With the temp at 17 degrees C this was a nice and easy walk. Scenery is wonderful and the church should be visited, the door is unlocked and one can view the inside from the doorway.
Route was easy to follow and authors note was spot on..

Lovely trail - easy to follow, part on road, part dirt track. Some nice village walking. Recommended.
