Katharo plateau 3. Sgouros prinos -Skafidaras peak- livadi -tripa water fountain-Sgouros prinos

Sunday windy and cloudy morning and we decide to reach the 'underrated' Skafidaras peak but from the dificult side, from plateau (the easiest way is from our descent). Skafidaras is the first peak (from northeast of Dikti mountains at 1673m. altitude. Then is Lazaros 2085m. and Spathi 2148m. Dikti mountains continue with Varsamis col and then the south ridge with Psari madara or Afentis Christos summit at 2141m. and Madara 2077m.
We start with warm up for 1km at dirt road and then we change a bit our plans to go through the dingle because we met group of hunters with dogs and 100m after that point starting the 'hard' ascent. is look hard but is not, 2 hours from 1120m. to reach the peak. Much wind and foggy weather,unfortunely.Another change of plans and we are not walk by the small ridge from peak to south,southwest to enjoy the amazing view of Selakano forest. Ofcourse, view of Lazaros when you arrive at skafidaras is riveting,With the area of Livadia in front Lazaros is like unmoving grey giant! Descent to livadi with visibility zero and then a litlle bit walk at the gorge and by side descent under Skafidaras and the rest smaller peaks to water fountain of tripa. Small stop and by the obvious path to small col and then to oak forest with the fat old stumbs.At the end of path dirt road to Sgouros prinos(frizzly oak) and by car to avdeliako for raki to Giannis kafeneion
Epilogue: Trek is not signed, gps is useful.
Slope of ascent is a bit hard but not dificult.
