Itinerary description

One of the best trail i ever done. The place is away of 'civilization' and that means a lot. Aghios Nikolaos -kritsa and then 16km to Katharo plateau. From Avdeliako setlement to Kopraki is a signs to Timios Stauros church ,follow them until to see the hill of kouloura in front of you,is a bit complicate so ask locals where is Kerea(antenna in greek),take the road up to kerea(kouloura hill.)
Until kouloura the road is ok and for normal cars(if you park at start of kouloura U tourn is 800m more, but if you want to reach our starting point you need 4wheels drive).
Beatiful wild nature, many birds and wild goats around, Old stone homes of shepherds in all the way up. You can reach the highest peak of dikti mountains, spathi summit which is 330m! higher and there is passage from top of Lekanida area(descent is extreme dificult ).
Amazing view to lasithi plateau and Limnakaro plateau. Return is via the small river (dry at summertime)through 'Lekanida'(bowl) and under famous Lazaros summit. When river meet the other stream from Afiklis peak left for 1km. to the starting point.
