Itinerary description
Incredible walk in Kata Tjuta. Highly recommend doing it right after the sunrise or right before the sunset. Red rocks, green trees, light green grass, purple flowers - with long shadows and high winds it all adds up to a positive sensory overload. It's an eden in the middle of the desert.
We did it < 2h normal tempo, doable in <1.5h if in a hurry - but only in winter (lower temperatures). Official sign says it may take up to 4h - which is probably true in a scorching summer sun.
