Itinerary description
One challenging hike but with an incredible view from the summit.
The starting point is Niato Plateu. You drive to Niato following a dirt road from Askifou Plateau. This dirtroad is a bit tricky at certain points and require caution.
The hike is demanding as it is a steep ascend of 900 meters in only 3,5 km length. It is important to note that there is no clear trail. There are pathways at many sections of the hike, that make the climb easier but most of the time you have to deal with the wild terrain of the White Mountains.
The whole idea of the hike is to reach the summit hiking in the mountain ridge. The first hill though is very steep so it's a good idea to hike around it and then get on the ridge. Then things should be easy until another steep hill, which you have to climb.
It's best to have good sun protection and you will need 4 litres of water if you attempt it during the summer. I would say 2 liters is sufficient for autumn or spring
