Itinerary description
We have modified a little this nice round itinerary that starts from Kastraki church and visits 4 monasteries in the Meteors.
Very easy and accessible for kids it really allows to tour this beautiful site avoiding as much as much the crowded tourist roads. You get close to the meteors and fully appreciate their majesty and beauty.
Watch carefully during the path as wild turtles can be seen.
After Varlaam there is supposedly a path that avoids immediately the road but the only one we could see was not accessible; you’ll notice a back and forth at that point. The one itinerary we’ve found is very nice and gets in the wood to finish the trek.

Such a nice walk on that mountainbike path, with a lot of shadow. We made it a bit shorter, and were glad we did it, because it was very hot that day. Thanks
