Itinerary description
A nice walk down passing a small ravine. There are some fences to overcome, before crossing the narrow stream. The town of Kournas offers several taveras serving good local food. After Kournas we pass trough a very green valley, after wich we klimb trough wild low bushes on gravel road and sheep trails. This part offers stunning views over the mountain, and the low land along the northern shore. The last hill before returning to Kastellos is marvelous :-)
Requires water good boots and good legs.

Thanks for sharing. We live in the village Kournas and know the area very good. It is so nice to walk here all year round, but especially in spring, when everything is so fresh green.
The walk down into the small ravine was completely overgrown. Since I started the walk in Kournas, I had to go up to Kastellos and return via the asphalt road.
A beautiful hike. There was one place we went climbing a dangerous way because we could not find the path when we went down the lowest part of the valley. It turned out the path was covered with shrubs and plants.
