Қасқабас шыны мен Қаскыр тау /Kaskabas peak and Wolf mountain/ Каскабас и Волчья гора

Kaskabas peak and Wolf’s mountain hike in one go. Was a relatively tough one, as the initial journey started far away from the mountains. Due to the peace protest later turned into a rather devastating situation across the country all the public transport in Almaty city was suspended. As a result, had to walk around 5km to get to the mountains area, which wasn’t much difficult, yet rather time-consuming.

The weather was doom and gloom in the city. However, once one passes the valley where the trail starts and starts climbing up the Wolfs’s mountain, above the clouds a mesmerising view of the peaks opens up.
Would recommend to take micro-spikes/crampons, single ones should suffice, as during the descebding decided to take a shortcut down pretty steep valley where the river flows. Moreover, one shall be cautious few peaks prior to Kaskabas itself as along the ridge the snow is not stable and avalanche may be set off.

On the way to the Kaskabas peak, had come across to some tracks. Those belonged to a predator, not sure where they had come from as seems like no human been around for a while, so can’t be a dog on its own at such high altitude. Rather big for fox, so guess will rule it out as well. Any ideas? Would be good to hear your opinion.

Поход начался с Казахфильма тк общественный транспорт во время режима ЧП не ходил. В связи с чем пришлось идти пешком до начало тропы так и до самих гор.
Сначала тропы вдоль ущелья стояла облачная погода, и после после поворота вправо взобравшись на волчью гору открывается вид на молочное небо. Где величаво выше облаком красуются пики.
По дороге встретились следы какого то хищника, однозначно не собака. Да и откуда собака одна в горах почти на высоте 2900 метров тк человечки следы явно далеко несвежие.
На подходе к пику Каскабас идя траверсом по гребню если вероятность схода лавин, и кажется одна все таки недавно сошла. Так что поосторожней.

Советую взять с собой кошки тк на обратном срезали и спустились вдоль устья реки, спуск оказался крутым.
