Itinerary description
A lovely loop walk taking in around 6.5km of the Peleponnese way and returning to the village of Karyes via the apparently fairly newly marked Caryatides trails 5 and 4. The route is almost entirely on forest roads, so the path is wide and clear without any obstacles. The view at the high point after the path crosses the EO8 is spectacular. We followed the E4 path as far as the EO8 and then returned to the village via the Caryatides trail 5, switching to trail 4 when 5 ends at the small reservoir. All the trails were well-marked and easy to follow. The ascent was sustained in the first section of the walk, but not especially challenging.
