Itinerary description

The best trail I did in Karpathos, and the one nobody on Wikiloc did, and no maps track.
I don't know why, cause it is really well tracked by red paint on the rocks and red plastic signs on the trees.
Breathtaking landscapes at every turn, and with much shadow of the trees. A really welcomed and unexpected surprise, since the island as almost no tree at all.

Very much suggested!!
I mark it as moderate only because the last part before to get to Achata is a little exposed, but not dangerous due to net protections.

A challenging trail, at the end of the trail are three challenges with a cliff to one side and a drop on the other.
Retrun trip is not possible because of a climb where the rope is missing.

Rating is more for the experienced trail climbers.

A really stunning trail but quite heavy. Some points are quite difficult, especially the last part, but its doable. Advice is to wear the right shoes and take plenty of water and food. The views are absolutely breathtaking. It takes more time then stated because of the steep inclines. The best way is to follow the red dots and markings on the trees and rocks. Sometimes they are hard to find so you really have to walk from marking to marking not to lose the trail. A big recommendation for the more experienced hikers.
