Ula göletinden başlayan rota Muğla kent ormanın geçip Yeniköy’e (7km), oradan da 1 km mesafedeki Karabağlar’a ulaştıktan sonra Saburhane Mevkiinde son bulur. 1.5 km’lik bir patika kısım hariç rotanın büyük çoğunluğu toprak ve asfalt yollardan gider. / The route, which starts from the Ula pond, passes through the Muğla city forest, reaches Yeniköy (7km), and then reaches Karabağlar, which is 1 km away, and ends at the site of Saburhane. The majority of the route goes on dirt and asphalt roads, except for a 1.5 km path section.

Saburhane, Menteşe’de kentin doğu yakasında yer alan yerleşim yeridir. Resmi olarak mahalle olmasa da 400’e yakın tescilli evi 170’e yakın sivil mimarlık örneği yapısı, 100’e yakın sokağı, eski hanları, şadırvanları, arastası, meydanları ve camileriyle örnek bir Kentsel Sit alanıdır. Saburhane ismi, kimi yorumlara göre 1500'lü yıllarda Sabri adlı bir dervişin dergâhından dolayı verilmiştir; kimi yorumlara göre de, Rumların ürettikleri ‘Sabur’ şarabından dolayı verilmiştir. Sabur kelimesi Arapça'dan gelir ve günümüz Türkçesinde "sabır" olarak geçmiştir. "Sabır gösterilen yer" olarak algılandığın için Saburhane isminin bir zamanlar burada yer alan bir hapishaneden kaynaklandığı da söylenmektedir. / Saburhane is a settlement located on the eastern side of the city in Menteşe. Although it is not an official neighbourhood, it is an exemplary urban protected area with its nearly 400 registered houses, nearly 170 example buildings of civil architecture, nearly 100 streets, old inns, fountains, arastas (Ottoman bazaars), squares and mosques. According to some interpretations, the name Saburhane was given because of the dervish lodge of Sabri in the 1500s and according to some other interpretations, it was given because of the 'Sabur' wine produced by the Greeks. The word "sabur" comes from Arabic and is known as "patience-sabır" in today's Turkish. It is also said that the name Saburhane originates from a prison that was once located here, as Saburhane was perceived as "the place where patience is shown".
