Itinerary description
Up the river bed, through the Vyros gorge, as far as the monastery up to the left and then back along the quiet road to Agios Sofia and down the track to Kardamyli castle.
The way up the gorge (which won’t be possible when the river is flowing) involves some scrambling over boulders but is a gentle ascent and not challenging and the return is a gentle climb upwards to Agios Sofia and then down a track to the castle

Starting in Kardamili, up the river bed as far as the abandoned monastery, then along an easy trail to Agios Sophia and back into Kardamili, finishing at the castle and back onto the road.

We took the reverse way, it starts still on top is wonderful view then going down to the river bed was a bit difficult all the big rocks going down was not that easy
