Itinerary description
Mt Kandanga is 8km west of Imbil, in Imbil Forest. We spent 5 hours scrambling up and sliding down the steep, gravelly ridges in the area, mainly along old overgrown forest roads. It was certainly a great cardio and leg work out to the top of the 610m summit. At the summit there are two steel communication and forest monitoring towers. Views are limited but native forest and steep testing trail was extremely inspiring and rewarding. For more detail, visit our Facebook Hike site- "Take A Hike- SE Qld".

Great hike, as it says very steep and slippery sections in places. So peaceful, didn’t see any other people.
