Itinerary description
Kamra is a wonderland just below the famous Panjeer Rocks or Panjpeer Shrine. We started the trek and plan was to go to Kotli Sattian in 3 hours.
We parked our vehicles at a spot which appeared to be a small graveyard. Parking was safe. We were away from the main village hence we moved through the dense forest but sparely populated area. Hike was mild with gradual ascend. To feed my fear, we saw a dog which was tied to a leash. Houses were built very well I wondered how did they get the supplies to the location followed by thought that it would be rather very expensive to build something there.
In less than an hour we reached the Kahuti village on main Kotli Sattian Road. From there it was further one hour hike but since it was all on the road we weighed two options. Either we could go Burj Patriata trek or we could go to Panjpeer. But the group decided to descend to the Jhelum river instead. We inquired around and took a concrete sub road from Kahuti.
After sometime on the road and passing through spectacular banglows, we got off the road where a local man guided us the direction and also informed that there is no real passage as we will have to make our way on our own.
We passed several grass fields where families were cutting grass to stock for the winters. Weather became very cloudy.
It was actually a wrong turn that someone took, but I was thankful for the turn as it shortened our hike though did change our plan and we did not get to meet the Jhelum River.
Instead we descended to a stream, crossed it and started ascend in the rain.
I had, by that time, put everything in my bag including the phone which I was recording this trail on so did not mark any more waypoint.
We made our way by using the login to increase our altitude to reach the sub road to Kahuti. There were passages everywhere but with our focus we made it to the concrete road.
Took a short break in Kahuti Bazar at "Bismillah hotel" for a quick lunch and some tea. The rain stopped and we continued our trek back to vehicles.
I finally got my camera out and took some dark shots as sun was long behind the Panjeer rocks.
I would remember the trek due to the walk in the grass land as it was truly magical place and with the cloudy weather it felt walk out of the world experience. Another lovely memory would be the last few minutes of walk in the conifer pine forest which was spectacular and out of those Instagram retro pictures.

Is this a trek or a mettled road?
Only a portion in the mid was on concrete where we diverted. Rest was all the narrow trails.
Nice find! Will try this soon
Great
Our goal thought was to reach the Jhelum river but the weather became very nasty so we abandoned the plan. If you could reach out there earlier, do try the river.
Will do. Thanks
Where was this waterfall located in the track?
there was no waterfall on this track, there was a water crossing, but not in the form of waterfall.
Got it, Thanks!
I also want to join your team for hikes, is it possible?
Sure, which city are you located in and share your wtsapp, I will have you added in the group.
I am from Islamabad, I am already in that group but it would be great if I get the plan 1-2 days before. Because there are lots of irrelevant posts so I muted the notification and tune.
