Itinerary description

This hike started on the road to the Botanical Gardens across from the Mood Gate. After going over the bridge you will find the entrance to the jungle trail. The trail is moderately steep to start with and continue up for a couple of kilometres. The path was very well marked and cleared of most obstacles. There were not any significant views on this hike but at one point it passed through an area where there must have been a forest fire years ago. Eventually the trail connect to the mountain biking trail. At that point I was looking or another trail that was supposed to take you toward the reservoir but I couldn't locate it. After walking on the mountain biking trail for about a kilometre I easily found the trail that head down into the Permai area. Overall this was a pretty nice hike and if you are just wanting to get away from people, this is a good choice.
