Itinerary description
My route is a combination of official and unofficial trails.
Official trial is linear, nice and easy, with a lot of information about flora and species posted on boards and signs. Initially the trail goes along the river (all season?) and this part is very interesting, then it follows dirt road and turns into forestry path after.
We didn’t walk the official trail to the end leaving 700m. Since the trail map was missing I’m not sure where the actual end (or start) is but I assume that it should be at Merika picnic area. In order to make the trail circular we left the trail at 4km sign.
In case you follow my route, you may deviate to see old mine shaft in the 2nd half of the trail.
TERRAIN: combination of narrow paths, dirt gravel roads and motorway. Small elevation and quite easy hike.
SEASON: trail is mostly exposed to the sun with some short shadowed parts. Certain time of the day also adds to the shade.
SIGNS: plenty of various signs : direction (with metering), plants, animals and surroundings as well as geosites. A few benches along the way as well as small picnic areas.
KIDS: perfect for kids starting 4-5yo, a lot of information about local flora and fauna along the trail.
