Itinerary description
There are a few trails to Kablar but in summer 3 & 4 are the best as they're mostly going through the forest and are easy to hike even despite gaining 600m height difference.
We took 4a starting next to the restaurant 'Dom', close to the train station, but it's also possible to start from the centre on trail 4. It's well marked, though once you get to the 1st houses the markings are too far away and not really visible but you've basically got to bypass the houses. We visited the peak 889 first, 10min off road, which gives great views of Ovcar and west of the gorge. 885 is 10min away with a terrain map of Kablar and mountains of Serbia and Montenegro. The famous viewpoint overlooking meanders is another 100m farther, behind the radio tower.
For the way back we took trail nr 3, not as well marked as nr 4 I'd say but not difficult to find the way either. The Cvrkic household offers food and refreshments but there was no home made juice when we stopped by it. Beware of dogs by the last house before Selac. The final part is asphalt road for about 2km.
