Itinerary description
Take the mountain road up Jebel Yibir (4wd recommended!) and take the small track on your left at ~1250m altitude to park your vehicle (be considerate of access for others). Take a rough trail downhill towards a few scattered buildings. Keeping the buildings on your left a flat field on your right follow the path along a small gorge, past a tree and then turn right up another small gorge passing under a tree near the start. Now follow the gorge upwards towards it's end. This is generally a steady walk with some easy scrambling sections. With the saddle in sight, veer up the slope to your right. You will intersect with a clearly trodden path, turn right along the path and follow it back to the mountain road, taking in some great views over the surrounding area. The path will take you back to the mountain road, follow it back downhill for ~400m until you reach the turn off to the area where your vehicle is parked. Very little shade so sun protection and water needed as usual.
