Itinerary description
A brief path to the top of a naked hill in the heart of Sicily. The nature is predesertic with a bush formed by Ampelodesma, Teucrium, rare little tree of Olea oleaster, the wild Olive tree. The landscape go from Etna to the Madonie and Sicani mountains. On the top the ancient rest of a little indigenous centre (XI - VI centuries b.C.).
The area was celebrated in ancient time like a holy, spectral site. The name "Juculia" derived from medieval latin and means jewels of women, probably because the hunters and the shepherds found here some ancient rest.
