Dana Feynan Trail - Hiking in Jordan

Situated in the Dana Biosphere Reserve, the trail leads from Dana village towards Wadi Araba and the village of Feynan, south of the Dead Sea.

The grand canyon in the reserve is undoubtedly one of Jordan’s most impressive natural formations. The views of the reserve from Dana Village are truly magnificent.

The reserve is managed by the RSCN and is recognized by UNESCO as Jordan’s first biosphere reserve representing “different bio-geographical zones … [with] the dramatic changes in elevation [resulting] in a very high biodiversity and a complex set of land cover types.“

The opportunity to hike in the reserve is a great experience, especially when you plan a multi-day visit to the reserve and combine the Dana Feyan Trail with the trail leading through the nearby Wadi Ghuweir.
