Itinerary description
This hike will take you up the Florida Trail and than after crossing the slough, you will loop back to the road and the parking spot. I did this hike during a caching trip in JDSP, so if you load the tracks you might be enticed to enter the brush, just ignore that and stay on the trail/road. You will hit some sand and most of the hike is in the open, so be prepared for the Florida sun and heat. The hike takes you to the Scrubjay primitive camp, a well is there if fresh water is needed. Make sure you don't park on the road, on the grass is OK. There is an entrance fee to enter JDSP. If your into GEOCaching, there are over 200 caches in the park. Please, take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints.
