Itinerary description
This hike will take you into another of the many conservation areas found in the Tolland Area. Each of them I have visited are extremely well blazed and very nice to hike. I'm sure any family would enjoy this hike. We were GEOCaching, so that added that much more to the hike. There are a set of blazed trails winding through this area. The blue blazed trail takes you up over a ridge, where a bench has been provided for a rest. The blue blazed trail does come to an end with just a small sign stating “end of trail”. You normally should double back to the main trail, as you will be entering what I believe to be private property. We did find what seemed to be a small trail down to the parking area, so we took that route. There are a couple of interesting rocks along the trail which have been named “meteor” and quartz” rocks. There even was an information sign posted at the quartz rock. The only problem was the parking; it is very, very limited! Happy trails to all!
