Itinerary description
This was the best walk we did in Taiwan. Better than Taroko National Park and better than Alishan Scenic Area. I say that because it actually felt like you were in nature rather than the asphalt paths you often follow in the national parks. This walk is really easy to follow and had some great views over Taipei. There was also some great wildlife including Formosan Blue Magpies. Part of the walk is clambering up a rock face with the aid of a rope - it's not difficult because there are some steps cut into the rock - but it's not an easy walk. If you suffer from dizziness or vertigo this might not be a great walk for you. This walk starts and finishes at metro stations.
